We no longer have a baby.....

So Charli is officially a year old!  Can you believe it?!  I sure can't.  I swear she looks different since 5:21pm on June 12, 2011.  She looks older.  Acts older.  IS OLDER!  AHHH.  She had a great birthday too!!!  She got to celebrate all weekend!  On Saturday, we had a birthday party for her!  It almost didn't happen either!  On Mon-Wed she had a high fever around 102-103.  It would break occasionally but not much.  We ended up going in to the Dr on Weds because really, that's just too high for being teething.  Thursday no fever at all.  Friday she wakes up with this weird looking rash starting at her hairline and going down her body.  Well, my mother freaks me out really bad and insists its measles.  Well through my sobbing I check the internet.  It does in fact look like measles and she has all the symptoms.  I call the Dr again and am bawling.  They have us bring her in and we have to sneak her in.  I was just a total wreck.  As if seeing a rash on Charli for the first time ever isn't enough, she might have a really bad sickness.  Thank God for the amazing dr's we see!  They all insisted it didn't actually look like measles and that she would still have a high fever with it.  By the time we'd gotten to the Dr it had spread and looked more defined instead of blotchy anyways.  Well they chalked it up to an unexplained rash.  Not a fan of that term... but ok.  We asked the Dr 8767 times in 99837 ways if we should cancel her party or postpone it.  He said he wouldn't.  So we didn't.  We just call the people with kids to let them know so they don't freak out when they got here.  The dr just said to keep an eye on her temperature and otherwise we should be fine!!!!  He said to try some Benadryl and see what that did for her.  Well I immediately started filling her with Benadryl.  It worked!  BUT you could definitely tell the second it started wearing off.  It was so frustrating.  I was still freaking out so much.  My baby had something unexplained.  I wanted to do whatever I could to figure out why she had it and what was wrong.

Saturday morning rolls around... Charli gets up and has a little bit of the rash still.  So I pump her full of some more meds and other than that she is perfectly fine.  No fussy nothing.  Good!  She is up for a few hours and then we put her down so that she will get up just in time for the party.  I went and woke her up just as the first guest got to the house.  Her party was awesome.  She seemed to really enjoy it!  A little after the cake, she ended up having a rash again... a little more Benadryl and it was gone.  I was so glad everyone could make it!!!  Only one person didn't come because of the rash... which I TOTALLY understand... another didn't come because their baby was sick :(  Poor fella.  Other than that... it was perfect.  After most people left we had some of Aaron's friends stay and hang out.  We tried to get my roommates to stay too but they all had to drive far to get home :(  We had a blast.  That night I decided I didn't want to give Charli anymore meds and see if the rash would get worse or go away.  Sunday morning (her actual birthday) she woke up with NO RASH or anything!!!!  Perfect birthday!!!!!!

Sunday we decided to just relax and enjoy the time with Charli.  Perfect way to ring in her actual turning one!!!!  That night we went to Baker Park to see a Beatles cover band!  Charli seemed to really enjoy that!

Monday was total clean up day!  We got all her new stuff organized and put away and sat and watch the videos from her party!  She is so cute!  She melts my heart.  Of course little fatty ate ALL of the cake we gave her, not getting any on the floor or hardly any on her face HAHA.

Things with my mom suck.  I no longer want to spend any time with her.  I am sick of her making me feel like I'm a terrible person.  I just tell the truth and she says I'm a bad sister, daughter, wife and mother. Thanks.  This coming from a stellar specimen herself.  I've decided that as long as it doesn't interfere with Charli, I'm not going to go get more help for post partum until we are out of this house.  There is no point in it.  Nothing will get better as long as we are here.  And it doesn't matter that people know whats going on with me, it just keeps getting worse. So I have put up a wall.  The bitch has come out.  I can't hold my tongue anymore, I can't keep the looks off my face.  I am done.  I am in survival mode.

Anyways, this was about Charli... so here are some pictures from this weekend!
